Attendees Treated to More at Hardscape North America 2011

Louisville, KY - Hardscape North America’s continued partnership with GIE+EXPO, the Green Industry & Equipment Expo, resulted in a successful show in Louisville, KY. Approximately 7,200 hardscape and landscape contractors attended the show. The show which took place October 27-29, gave hardscape professionals access to more education, certification opportunities, demonstrations and exhibits than ever. Attendees could attend two trade shows for the cost of one at the Kentucky Exposition Center. A larger Hardscape North America show gave attendees more to see, with indoor exhibit space increasing by 20% and the outdoor space increasing by 29%.

Together, HNA , with products and materials exclusive to the hardscape industry, and GIE+EXPO, with the latest in outdoor power equipment and landscaping supplies, offered attendees access to more than 750 exhibits and 19 acres of outdoor demonstration space. HNA’s Conference and trade show ran concurrently with GIE+EXPO. An HNA trade show registration gave attendees access to 10 demonstrations. The two most popular demonstrations were “Building the Outdoor Room” and “Basic Paver Installation and Specialty Tools”. Conference registrants had access to over 75 additional sessions covering everything from hardscape estimating and installation to lawn and landscape management and business marketing.

New this year was the Hardscape North America HNA Project Awards breakfast ceremony. The awards breakfast ceremony, with over 120 participants, took place on Friday, October 28th at the Kentucky Exposition Center. The Hardscape Project Awards recognize outstanding hardscape projects by contractors in residential and commercial/industrial applications. This year’s expanded awards included new commercial and permeable interlocking concrete pavement (PICP) categories.  In its fourth year, the awards program received 84 entries.  A total of 16 award winners and 12 honorable mentions were recognized during the breakfast.

With the success of this year’s show, Hardscape North America will again co-locate with the GIE+EXPO in Louisville in 2012. Make sure to mark your calendar, the dates are October 24-26, 2012.
