HNA Hardscape Project Awards

The Hardscape North America Hardscape Project Awards is now accepting projects to be considered for this year’s contest. The awards recognize outstanding hardscape projects by contractors in commercial/industrial, residential and transportation/municipal street applications. These projects may include but are not limited to walkways, patios, driveways, plazas, parking lots, roadways, etc.

Projects must be completed between November 1, 2007 and June 30, 2011. Award winners will be recognized during the 2011 Hardscape North America tradeshow and will be featured in the Interlocking Concrete Pavement Magazine, other trade publications and the HNA website.

New Award Categories and Awards Breakfast This Year

The range of project awards was changed to represent the range of projects in the industry. There was a need to highlight PICP projects and more technically significant projects, where the design and application of the materials were important, more than just the aesthetics of a project. The chart below outlines the various categories a project can be entered in.

Awards Breakfast

In addition, new this year will be an HNA Awards breakfast during the Hardscape North America Tradeshow. The breakfast will be held on Friday October 28, 2011 at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, KY. Show attendees can register for the breakfast as part of the HNA registration process. In addition, each entry in the HNA 2011 Hardscape Project Awards will be offered one free admission to the breakfast.

To claim the free admission the individual must:

be registered to attend HNA 2011 (conference registration, pre-show courses, distributor program and trade show only registrations apply)
either the individual or the company they represent must be named on the Hardscape Project entry. This includes the entrant, installer, designer or manufacturer.
a form to claim the complimentary HNA Awards Breakfast admission will be sent to the individual who paid for the Hardscape Project entry on September 16th. It must be completed and returned by September 23, 2011 and must include a valid HNA registration number and a valid HNA Hardscape Project Award entry number.

Square footage of Hardscape project
250 word description of the project along with job challenges
Up to six photos of the project (Ideal would be before during and the finished project)
